Air Conditioning

Airtech decommissioned and stripped-out existing 'R22' air conditioning c/w supply, installation and commissioning of a new 'Energy Efficient' Daikin VRV 3-Pipe Heating / Comfort Cooling System c/w Fresh Air Ventilation.

Heating / Comfort Cooling was installed across a single floor and comprised open plan space and cellular offices.

Cooling / Heating to all areas was provided via 13no. Daikin Above Ceiling Ducted Fan Coil Units, connected to 2no. Heat Recovery Condensing Units, offering greater air distribution and reduced noise levels.

All fan coil units were connected to supply ceiling mounted swirl type diffusers via insulated ductwork.  Return air to the fan coil units was via perforated plate diffusers.  All indoor units incorporated room sensors.

Ventilation

Fresh air was provided by Daikin VAM Heat Recovery Ventilation Units interfaced with the air conditioning system for total control; providing fresh air whilst recovering heat energy from extracted air, helping to maintain room temperature changes caused by ventilation and a comfortable and clean environment.

Fresh air was provided at a rate of 10l/s per person to suit the seating plan.  A remote start / stop interface was included.  Fresh air and exhaust return air was via suitably sized local weather louvres.

This type of ventilation system reduces the load on the air conditioning system and conserves energy.

Controls

Local control was provided to serve all cellular areas and a BacNet Interface for connection to an existing Trend BMS was provided to serve the open plan areas; allowing full control of the air conditioning system via the Trend system.

All indoor fan coil units were provided with individual room sensors.
